Hawe Earthmoving was established in 1968 when Pat Hawe bought his first dozer. Pat started with general land clearing and dam clearing for farming developments, gradually through the years we have added to our services. We now provide services for all types of civil developments, for instance: residential subdivisions, road construction and maintenance, environmental water cleaning, farm developments and general plant hire.
In 1996 Pat's son Mick Hawe joined the company and in 2007 assumed full management of the company from his father. Since that time Mick has been committed to growing the company with his vision to be able to undertake all types of work in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Burnett region’s earthworks sector, big or small, simple or challenging, while maintaining the core values of delivering quality work on time and with reasonable rates.
During this period the company has built up many alliances and agreements within the industry, this gives us the ability to undertake works from plans and also to have the work designed and constructed from the ground up, which can improve the overall project outcome as the contractor building the project is involved from the beginning.
We have been involved in the earthmoving, excavation and civil industry in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Burnett region since 1968 and maintain long term employee relationships which give us a significant knowledge base and experience to work from when we commit to a project. These longer-term relationships contribute to the company’s ability to achieve great results. The majority of our employees are long term, making Hawe Earthmoving a highly reputable and experienced employer, one of our employees has worked here since 1978 showing how longer family orientated terms build better relationships contributing to the company’s ability to retain staff and achieve great results.
The company is always looking for new opportunities, plant hire or ventures. For example, we have the only wheeled excavator for hire in the area because we were the first to see the need. The company can undertake most types of civil excavation and civil earthmoving projects without hiring subcontractors for pit forming, pipe laying, kerb and channel, road construction and concrete works. Whether you need residential subdivision development, road construction and maintenance, farm developments and environmental water clearing, Hawe Earthmoving are the leading specialists in civil construction and developments.
We believe in continued training and development, each employee undertakes a minimum of 1 RTO training course each year, meaning each staff member has multiple tickets and skills to ensure they are kept abreast of any changes within the Bundaberg earthmoving equipment hire and machinery industry. Accredited third party RTOs are used to observe and offer guidance to our operators & staff members.
